Listening to music has been one of the famous hobbies of most people. Music can be an inspiration to someone. It makes people feel either happy or sad. Each of us listens to different music styles or genres. Some people love listening to classical music and some to R&B songs, pop songs and so on. How about Country Music? I believe many people love listening to country songs. Why? First, we need to know about country music. It is a genre of United States popular music which originated in the Southern part of the US in 1920s.

This term is used today to describe many styles and subgenres. In 2009, it was the most listened during the evening commute and second most popular in the morning commute in the United States. Listening to country music will make you feel like putting on your cowboy/cowgirls boots and grabbing your cowboy/cowgirls hat for sure! If you’re in a bad mood, just turn on the country station and for sure you’ll get better because there’s always a song wherein you can relate much. Country music will let you feel that you’re not alone either.

People like it because it’s simple, you can relate with the message or lyrics of the song, the guitar playing and most Americans love listening to it because it speaks to an American lifestyle and even American history. Country music is full of meaning and talent even many people loves it. The lyrics of the songs mean something to us like the song “There Goes My Life” by Kenny Chesney.
